Our understanding of design is based on a conceptual approach. This means we provide a fundament for our designs to show their character through their formal aesthetics and materials. By this, we want to inspire people to build a relationship to their objects.
We are - Florestan Schuberth and Janis Fromm - two freshly graduated Master students from Hamburg, Germany. We founded Studio Marfa in 2015 as a platform to present our ideas and prototypes to the public. As individual designers, as well as good team players we love to enrich every project with enthusiasm and our personal perception. Since we started studying at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg we have the vision of creating products and furniture that tell a story.
The ANDY Chair was the main project for their Master Graduation.
